Did you know that only 31% of young voters voted in the 2018 election?
Annie LeBlanc, Lilia Buckingham, Nia Sioux, Emily Skinner, Hayley LeBlanc and more are speaking up and using their platforms to ignite social change. The girl power icons teamed up with I Am A Voter, a nonpartisan movement dedicated to creating a cultural shift around voting and civic engagement, to remind young people that their voices matter!
They each took to Instagram to encourage their fans and followers to make a voting plan — whether it be by mail, early in-person, or at the polls on Election Day. Remember: your vote is your voice!
“I’m talking to you! Youth, our generation can make the biggest difference. Use our privilege…show up. 31% is not enough! We can do better than that and we can change our future for the better,” Emily explains in the video.
This isn’t the first time Lilia has used her platform to spread positivity! She recently encouraged fans to think before they post in this inspiring self-written essay.
